Job DescriptionThe Contracts & Procurement Supervisor plays a key role in leading contract and procurement activities across Port Waratah, reporting to the Procurement Manager.
This role involves executing the full tender and contract lifecycle, supporting contract holders, and ensuring compliance with procurement policies and systems.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the execution of tender and contract management process, including preparing commercial terms, tender documentation, evaluation, and stakeholder communication.
- Supporting contract holders in contract management and transition strategies.
- Managing contract performance, amendments, and closure processes, ensuring alignment with business deliverables.
- Maintaining and enhancing procurement systems, including the Contractor Payment Authorisation System and ensuring audit compliance.
- Championing continuous improvement in purchasing systems and vendor performance.
Key skills and qualifications include:
- Extensive experience in contract drafting and negotiation, including contract clauses, minimum 5–7 years' experience.
- Ability to manage high volumes of tenders and contracts in a complex environment.
- Understanding of effective procurement systems and practices.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Formal qualifications in contract management or purchasing or membership of CIPS will be highly regarded.
