Job Title: Orthopaedic Registrar
About the PositionWe are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Orthopaedic Registrar to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the care of patients presenting to the Orthopaedic department.
- The registrar will work closely with senior registrars, consultants, nurses, and allied health professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Maintaining accurate and accessible records of patient care is crucial in this role.
- The registrar will be responsible for effective clinical handovers at the start and end of shifts.
- Discharge planning will also be an essential part of this role, ensuring that patients receive appropriate care after discharge.
- The registrar will supervise admission and discharge planning procedures.
- Excellent communication skills are necessary for maintaining a high level of interaction with patients and their relatives.
- You must hold general registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
- A Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent qualification is required.
- Postgraduate experience in Orthopaedics to PGY level 3 or higher is essential.
- You must have proven experience in delivering high-quality and safe care consistent with the National Safety and Quality Health Care Service Standards.
- Past experience working in a clinical department of a teaching hospital is beneficial.
