Job Overview

This is a career-defining opportunity to join our prestigious Orthopaedic Unaccredited Service Registrar programme, offering multiple three-year positions across South Australia's leading healthcare networks.

The successful applicant will be responsible for managing the care of all patients presenting to the Orthopaedic department in consultation with senior medical teams. The position involves rotating through diverse facilities in SA Health, providing comprehensive orthopaedic patient care and collaborating with experienced professionals.

About the Role
  • Maintaining high standards of patient care for inpatients and outpatients
  • Keeping accurate records of patient care and delivering effective clinical handovers
  • Commencing discharge planning and coordinating follow-up care with patients' carers and General Practitioners
  • Implementing administrative procedures consistent with the duties of a unit registrar
Key Responsibilities
  • Providing high-quality patient care and ensuring safe practices in line with National Safety and Quality Health Care Service Standards
  • Maintaining effective communication with patients and relatives as appropriate to the circumstances
Requirements
  • General registration with the Medical Board of Australia
  • Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent
  • Postgraduate experience in Orthopaedics to PGY level 3 or higher
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality care consistent with professional standards
