Orthopaedic Service Registrar Opportunity

This is an exceptional opportunity for a highly motivated and dedicated medical professional to join SA Health's prestigious Annual State-Wide Orthopaedic Unaccredited Service Registrar programme.

About the Role:
  • Manage the care of all patients presenting to the Orthopaedic department in consultation with senior medical teams.
  • Contribute to continuous quality improvement and continuing education activities.
  • Work collaboratively with nurses, allied health professionals, and other stakeholders to provide high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain high standards of patient care for inpatients and outpatients.
  • Keep accurate and readily accessible records of patient care.
  • Provide effective and accurate clinical handovers of patient care.
  • Commence discharge planning and undertake follow-up in consultation with patients' carers and General Practitioners.

As an Orthopaedic Unaccredited Registrar, you will be responsible for managing the care of all patients presenting to the Orthopaedic department, working closely with senior medical teams, nurses, and allied health professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.

About You:
  • You must hold general registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
  • Hold a Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent degree.
  • Have postgraduate experience in Orthopaedics to PGY level 3 or higher.
