About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Business Partner - Workplace Health, Safety & Wellness to join our team at RetireAustralia. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in shaping and driving our health, safety, and wellness strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement WHS Frameworks: Develop, implement, and continuously refine our WHS frameworks, policies, and programs to ensure we not only meet but exceed compliance standards.
  • Conduct Regular Audits and Risk Assessments: Conduct regular audits, risk assessments, and inspections to proactively identify and address workplace hazards.
  • Oversee Injury Management Processes: Oversee injury management processes and coordinate successful return-to-work plans for injured workers.
  • Partner with Leaders: Partner with leaders to address psychosocial risks and foster a supportive work environment.
  • Provide Expert Advice: Provide expert advice and support on all WHS matters to both management and staff.
  • Lead Incident Investigations: Lead the investigation of incidents, near misses, and injuries, ensuring thorough reporting and corrective action.
  • Collaborate with Learning & Development: Collaborate with Learning & Development to create and deliver impactful WHS training programs.
  • Drive Safety Culture Initiatives: Drive initiatives that enhance our safety culture and promote continuous improvement in WHS practices.
  • Ensure Compliance: Ensure ongoing compliance with WHS legislation and company policies, and prepare detailed performance reports.
  • Develop Wellness Programs: Develop and champion wellness programs that support the overall well-being of our employees.
Requirements
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels.
  • WHS Experience: At least 2 years' experience in a WHS role, preferably within a complex organization.
  • Proven Track Record: Proven experience in developing and implementing effective WHS programs and initiatives.
  • Commitment to Teamwork: A commitment to contributing to a high-performing, results-oriented team.
  • Relevant Qualifications: Relevant qualifications in Workplace Health & Safety or equivalent experience.
  • National Police Clearance: National Police Clearance (current) or the ability to obtain one.
