Risk Fundamentals Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Fundamentals Manager to join our team at BWA Group Services Pty Ltd. As a key member of our Risk Management team, you will play a critical role in supporting effective risk and control management within our organization.
Key Responsibilities- Partner with stakeholders and subject matter experts to provide support and advice on key elements of the Operational Risk Management and Compliance Management Frameworks.
- Lead and coach colleagues to conduct root cause analysis of issues and incidents, identifying and implementing control improvements.
- Coach and mentor colleagues in identifying, initiating and managing actions to mitigate risks and to strengthen controls when issues and incidents are raised.
- Provide data-driven insights on monthly risk management reporting.
- Drive continuous improvement in processes in the business and in the risk team.
- Evaluate the risks to the business and appraise the overall effectiveness of the suite of control and keep this evaluation current with the business environment.
- Provide guidance to stakeholders on the operational of the Group's Operational Risk Framework.
- Partner with and advise Line 2 colleagues to ensure operational risk is managed in line with the Groups Operational Risk frameworks.
- Deliver initiatives and assessments within strict timeframes through effective project management/agile methodology and efficient use of team resources.
- A deep understanding and experience in operational and compliance risks within banking.
- Working knowledge and exposure of digital and data risk.
- A strong risk mindset and ability to contribute to the growth of the business while providing strong recommendations for reducing potential risk exposure.
- Strong reasoning and influencing skills to work with senior stakeholders.
- Change risk management experience.
- Ability to independently deliver for large projects and initiatives in diverse environments and interact with all levels of stakeholders.
