Risk Exposure Analyst

This position is ideal for individuals who are entering the industry and possess a solid grasp of fundamental mathematical and statistical principles. We seek candidates with meticulous attention to detail and a curious, analytical mindset – someone who enjoys dissecting processes to comprehend their functionality and applications. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential.

We are currently looking for a Risk Exposure Analyst to become part of our team. This role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities across various commercial insurance sectors, aiding both pricing strategies and portfolio oversight. The selected candidate will engage with both property and non-property insurance lines.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyzing and modeling exposure data utilizing third-party and proprietary catastrophe modeling tools Collaborating closely with underwriters to interpret catastrophe model analyses for global risk selection Assisting in the enhancement of exposure management methodologies for unmodeled risks and territories Supporting the data aggregation process and related reporting obligations for the Commercial division, including compliance monitoring against internal and external limits Aiding in the data collection and monitoring of exposures for non-property insurance lines

Desired Skills and Experience:

Strong foundation in essential mathematical and statistical concepts, with the ability to convey these to a non-technical audience Keen attention to detail and an inquisitive, analytical mindset – a genuine interest in understanding how systems operate and their applications Proficient written and verbal communication skills Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong analytical and research skills Experience in handling large datasets is advantageous
