Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Engineering Design Team in Perth. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering projects that meet high quality, on-time standards.

About the Role
  • Coordinate project efforts to achieve satisfactory performance.
  • Develop detailed designs working with Technical Specialists to ensure specification compliance and technical integrity.
  • Develop technical documents required for procurement and commercial evaluations.
  • Ensure economic and safe selection of equipment through commercial awareness.
  • Liaise with Project Controls personnel to coordinate project activities.
  • Participate in Model Review, Design Review, HAZID/HAZOP, safety in design, constructability, and safety reviews.
  • Provide construction, pre-commissioning and commissioning support.
Requirements
  • Experience as a Senior Design Engineer in engineering contracting or consultancy organisations in sectors such as Oil & Gas, Mining & Minerals, and Infrastructure / Utilities.
  • Proven experience in piping design including concept development, FEED, and detail design phases, including piping layout.
  • Extensive experience in piping fabrication, construction, and commissioning.
  • Expertise in Detailed design, re-design, re-rating of the piping, design modification, alterations to existing plant, Pipe stress analysis, Fluid Induced Vibrations (FIV) analysis, Acoustic Induced Vibration (AIV) analysis.
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Knowledge and experience of 3D intelligent design and project delivery systems and procedures.
  • Application of brownfield experience and human factors in design.
  • Ability to work in a multi-tasking environment under time pressures and deadlines.
