Senior Mechanical/Piping Engineer

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Mechanical/Piping Engineer to join our inhouse Engineering Design Team in Perth In this role, you will understand the meaning of delivering projects free from incidents, injuries and environmental harm and delivery of high quality, on time and on budget.

Your focus will include:

• Cooperate the design effort of a team to achieve satisfactory project performance
• Detailed designm, working with Technical Specialists to ensure specification compliance, technical integrity of design
• Develop technical documents required for procurement
• Commercial awareness to ensure economic and safe selection of equipment
• Liaise with Project Controls personnel
• Participation in Model Review, Design Review, HAZID/HAZOP, safety in design, constructability, and safety reviews
• Provide construction, pre-commissioning and commissioning support

What you will bring to the team:

• Experience within a Senior Design Engineer role, within engineering contracting or consultancy organisations in one or more of the following sectors – Oil & Gas, Mining & Minerals and Infrastructure / Utilities
• Proven Australian experience in piping design including concept development, FEED and detail design phases, including the piping layout
• Proven Australian engineering experience in piping fabrication, construction, and commissioning
• Extensive experience in Detailed design, re-design, re-rating of the piping, design modification, alterations to existing plant, Pipe stress analysis, Fluid Induced Vibrations (FIV) analysis, Acoustic Induced Vibration (AIV) analysis
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Knowledge and experience of 3D intelligent design and project delivery systems and procedures, e.g. utilising Navisworks models
• Application of brownfield experience and human factors in design
• Worked in a multi-tasking environment under time pressures and deadlines
