Senior Mechanical/Piping Engineer

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Mechanical/Piping Engineer to join our in-house Engineering Design Team in Perth. In this role, you will deliver projects free from incidents, injuries and environmental harm and ensure high quality, on-time and on-budget delivery.

• Coordinate the design effort of a team to achieve satisfactory project performance
• Detailed design, working with Technical Specialists to ensure specification compliance, technical integrity of design
• Develop technical documents required for procurement
• Commercial awareness to ensure economic and safe selection of equipment
• Liaise with Project Controls personnel
• Participation in Model Review, Design Review, HAZID/HAZOP, safety in design, constructability, and safety reviews
• Provide construction, pre-commissioning and commissioning support

• Experience within a Senior Design Engineer role, within engineering contracting or consultancy organisations in one or more of the following sectors – Oil & Gas, Mining & Minerals and Infrastructure / Utilities
• Proven Australian experience in piping design including concept development, FEED and detail design phases, including the piping layout
• Proven Australian engineering experience in piping fabrication, construction, and commissioning
• Extensive experience in Detailed design, re-design, re-rating of the piping, design modification, alterations to existing plant, Pipe stress analysis, Fluid Induced Vibrations (FIV) analysis, Acoustic Induced Vibration (AIV) analysis
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Knowledge and experience of 3D intelligent design and project delivery systems and procedures, e.g. utilise Navisworks models
• Application of brownfield experience and human factors in design
• Worked in a multi-tasking environment under time pressures and deadlines
