Expert Cardiac Nurse Specialist

Join our team as a Clinical Nurse Consultant in Chronic Cardiovascular Care at St George Hospital.
This part-time position offers the opportunity to work with patients and families affected by chronic cardiovascular conditions, providing expert clinical care and leadership.
The successful candidate will have at least 5 years full-time equivalent post-graduate experience and/or a post-graduate qualification relevant to the field of practice. Proven clinical leadership skills, effective communication, and interpersonal skills are essential for this role.
The ideal candidate will be able to contribute to strategic and clinical service planning, apply clinical expertise in client-centred consultancy, and work independently.
We encourage applications from registered nurses who have recent cardiology experience in an acute care facility. The ability to provide education and training to staff and students is also highly valued.
This role is part of the South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) and requires collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to achieve exceptional patient outcomes.

Selection Criteria
- Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse.
- Minimum five years full-time equivalent post-graduate experience and/or a post-graduate qualification in the field of practice.
- Proven clinical leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary framework.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills across a variety of mediums.
- Knowledge of the practice development framework and its application to clinical practice.
