Job Summary:
Employed by Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, we seek an experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist to lead our cardiac rehabilitation team. The successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of cardiology and have a proven track record in delivering high-quality patient care.
The Clinical Nurse Specialist will work closely with the CNC Cardiac Rehabilitation to develop and implement health coaching and education programs for patients with chronic cardiac conditions. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and make a meaningful contribution to the lives of our patients.
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing senior nursing clinical leadership in the development of specialist clinical practice and service delivery within the nursing unit, team or service. You will exercise extended autonomy of decision making, working closely with managers and other senior clinicians.

Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement health coaching and education programs for patients with chronic cardiac conditions.
- Provide senior nursing clinical leadership in the development of specialist clinical practice and service delivery.
- Work closely with the CNC Cardiac Rehabilitation to achieve shared goals and objectives.
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with relevant post-registration qualifications.
- At least 3 years' experience in the clinical area of their post-graduate qualification or equivalent experience deemed appropriate by the public hospital or public health organisation.
- Ability to prioritise and problem solve to manage complex clinical care needs through the development and use of clinical management plans.
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills with advanced interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
