About this role

As a leader in shore excursions, you will be responsible for ensuring smooth dispatch and operations at the Port. This involves overseeing the delivery of services, managing teams, and coordinating logistics.

You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including Port Authorities, to guarantee proper resources and staffing levels. Your goal is to deliver exceptional results while maintaining a strong commercial relationship with Cruise Lines.

The role may require travel to different ports in Australia and oversees incidents in the Port, reviewing their impact on operation delivery. You will also ensure that operations changes at the pier are managed effectively, and suppliers receive last-minute changes or requests.

Key responsibilities:

  • Managing and leading a team of direct reports
  • Guaranteeing proper level of resources to deliver operations
  • Developing and maintaining continuous communication with cruise ships and stakeholders
  • Planning and booking of services to conduct shore excursions at various ports
  • Overseeing and managing operations incidents in the Port
  • Ensuring operations changes at the pier are managed effectively

About you

We are looking for someone with high capacity to manage a team to deliver results. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written English, plus fluency in other languages would be advantageous.

They must be comfortable leading change and resilient to ambiguity or setbacks. Previous experience in travel/tourism and/or cruise ships is advantageous. They must be able to use MS Office tools such as Excel, Teams, One Note & Outlook to high standards.
