Child Mental Health Specialist

The Child Mental Health Specialist delivers high-quality clinical services to children and young people with mental health issues. This role involves assessment, care coordination, intervention, liaison, and review to ensure optimal outcomes.
About the Role:
- To provide evidence-based clinical services that cater to the complex needs of children and adolescents
- To collaborate effectively with consumers, families, carers, and stakeholders to achieve desired results
- To conduct thorough mental health assessments, develop treatment plans, and implement interventions tailored to individual needs
- To maintain accurate and comprehensive records of client interactions, progress, and outcomes
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field and current registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency as a Registered Nurse, Occupational Therapist, or Psychologist
- Demonstrated experience in contemporary child and adolescent mental health practice, including conducting mental health assessments and providing interventions
- Understanding of the NSW Mental Health Act (2007) and principles of mental health rehabilitation and recovery
