Medical Collector

A medical collector position has become available in the Emergency Department of a leading healthcare provider. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and highly skilled individual to join our team and contribute to providing high-quality patient care.
The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting blood samples from patients, utilizing their technical skills in venepuncture and ECGs. They will also be required to undertake Covid LIAT testing.
To be considered for this role, applicants must have a Certificate III in Pathology Collections and at least 2 years of experience as a pathology collector. Excellent customer service skills, flexibility, and the ability to work well autonomously or as part of a team are essential qualities for this position.
Key Responsibilities:- Collect blood samples from patients using venepuncture techniques
- Undertake ECGs and Covid LIAT testing
- Work collaboratively with the collections team to ensure efficient sample collection and processing
- Certificate III in Pathology Collections
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a pathology collector
- Excellent customer service skills
- Flexibility and ability to work autonomously or as part of a team
