The Medical Sample Collection Department provides services to various healthcare facilities and patients in the community. We are committed to delivering high-quality patient care through routine and complex diagnostic services, expert advice, and support for education and research.
About the Job
As a Medical Sample Collector, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of service at all times to our patients and clients in both hospital and outpatient settings. You will maintain specimen integrity and prioritize patient care in everything you do.
You will be responsible for:
- Collecting blood and non-blood samples with care and attention
- Maintaining accurate records for every patient and sample
- Preparing and packaging specimens for transport and testing
About Your Skills and Qualifications
To excel in this role, you will possess excellent communication skills, a strong commitment to delivering exceptional patient care, and pride yourself on providing outstanding customer service. You'll bring energy and drive to your work and have:
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge in Phlebotomy or a Certificate III in Pathology Collection, Diploma of Nursing, or relevant experience
- Flexible availability required, with the ability to work weekends
- High-level customer service, communication, and empathy towards patients and clients
- Strong time management, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Confidence and ability to work autonomously and within a small team
