Overview:
As a skilled Medical Specimen Collector, you will play a vital role in delivering quality healthcare by collecting blood and coordinating specimen samples from patients. You will be expected to provide exceptional customer service, work independently in a clinic setting, and maintain accurate records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collecting medical specimens (blood and non-blood) with care and attention to detail
- Maintaining meticulous patient and sample records
- Preparing and packaging specimens for transport and testing
- Liaising with various stakeholders including customers, clinic staff, and couriers
Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge in phlebotomy or certificate III in pathology collection
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously in a solo clinic setting
- Valid driver's license and flexibility to travel to multiple clinics
- Working With Children's Check or willingness to obtain one
- Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or valid visa
