Job Title: Specimen Collector

This is an exciting opportunity to advance your career in healthcare.

  • You will be collecting blood & coordinating specimen samples from patients, using your empathy and drive to deliver great customer service and quality healthcare.
  • You will work closely with a Collection Lead and join a passionate team that is dedicated to providing exceptional care to our patients.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Collecting samples (blood and non-blood) with care and attention.
  • Keeping meticulous records for every patient and sample.
  • Delivering documentation within strict turnaround times.
  • Preparing and packaging specimens for transport and testing.
  • Liaising with customers, clinic staff and couriers.

We are looking for someone who is committed to providing exceptional customer service, with a genuine capacity for empathy and compassionate care. You will have a Cert III in Pathology Collection or have a healthcare background.

About you:

  • You have demonstrated experience and knowledge in Phlebotomy / Certificate III in Pathology Collection or a healthcare background.
  • You have excellent customer service and communication skills, with a high level of empathy.
  • You are organised, with strong time management and attention to detail.
  • You are able to work autonomously, sometimes working independently in a solo clinic.
  • You hold a valid Driver's license and have flexibility to travel to multiple clinics.
  • You hold a working with Children's Check or are willing to obtain one.

If you don't have qualifications or experience in Phlebotomy, but have a healthcare background and are passionate about helping others, we will set you up for success by providing you with full training and mentoring.

  2. Developing effective relationships with clinic staff and customers.
