Job Title: Senior Manager – Operations

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager – Operations to join our Contract Logistics division in Oceania. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing contract management and customer operations, driving business growth, and fostering strong customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer & Stakeholder Relations:
    • Build and sustain partnerships with internal teams and customers, ensuring transparency and strong relationships.
    • Promote innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiencies and productivities, collaborating closely with customers and senior management.
    • Oversee effective contract administration, reviewing service scopes, and leading new operational deployments.
    • Proactively identify areas for service improvement, designing and executing initiatives to maximize value delivery.
  • People Management & Leadership:
    • Work closely with the HR Department in recruitment and selection procedures, establishing and monitoring performance targets and goals.
    • Foster a culture of performance management among direct reports, recognizing training and development requirements.
    • Effectively address underperformance, following DP World standard processes, and maintain a proactive focus on succession planning.
  • P&L Financial Management:
    • Coordinate with customers and senior management in budget formulation and tracking financial progress, ensuring efficient contract supervision.
    • Take a leading role in new operational deployments, capitalizing on experience and knowledge to reduce risks and minimize disruption.
    • Proactively identify areas of service improvement, devising initiatives and procedures to maximize value delivery.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, logistics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years in Contract Logistics Management, Supply Chain, or a related field, with a proven track record in managing large teams and handling complex logistics operations.
  • Deep understanding of contract logistics, supply chain management, warehousing and distribution, and transportation management.
  • Familiarity with the Contract Logistics sector in Oceania and knowledge of local regulations and market dynamics.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team, manage conflicts, and make strategic decisions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to liaise with different stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills to manage operational issues and logistical challenges.
  • Strong project management skills, including planning, execution, and monitoring of operations.
