Procurement Strategist

The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in driving the future of our organisation through the development and implementation of innovative procurement strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality and responsive procurement services that align with industry best practice principles.
- Develop and implement comprehensive procurement plans to meet client needs, enhance stakeholder engagement, and drive supplier partnerships to optimise service outcomes.
- Partner with stakeholders to design and execute procurement strategies, supply arrangements, and negotiating plans to achieve value for money outcomes.
- Provide expert advice to key stakeholders on all aspects of procurement and contract management functions to encourage innovation, achieve business outcomes, and support policy directions.
Requirements:
- A tertiary qualification in a relevant field such as commerce, finance, or economics, or demonstrated working experience commensurate with the requirements of the role.
- Demonstrated expertise in procurement within a public sector or public service environment is desirable.
- Ability to comprehend, analyse, and interpret complex contract documents.
- Hands-on experience in running source-to-contract market activities, contract negotiation, and execution, as well as contract management.
- Excellent written, analytical, and verbal skills.
- A collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively in a community-driven environment.
