Transformative Opportunity for a Manager of People and Culture

Bank Australia is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager of People and Culture to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our People and Culture division, you will play a critical role in shaping the bank's human resources strategy and implementing initiatives that drive business growth and employee engagement.

About the Role

The Manager of People and Culture will be responsible for developing and implementing people strategies and frameworks that align with the bank's business objectives. This will include managing the annual operating plan, collaborating with the wider People and Culture team to develop and maintain systems, policies, and processes, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the annual People and Culture operating plan
  • Develop and implement people strategies and frameworks that align with the bank's business objectives
  • Collaborate with the wider People and Culture team to develop and maintain systems, policies, and processes
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations
  • Provide talent acquisition support as required
  • Manage the bank's remuneration benchmarking surveys
  • Oversee periodic performance processes
  • Oversee the remuneration review process

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Demonstrable experience as a senior generalist in People and Culture/HR
  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resource Management, Organisational Psychology, Business, or a related field
  • Leadership experience in HR and/or Organisational Development in a complex organisation, preferably within banking or financial services
  • Ability to influence and negotiate with key stakeholders at all levels
  • Previous experience in successfully providing coaching and feedback to stakeholders, leaders, peers, and team members
  • Excellent level of compliance and legislation knowledge in relevant areas such as workplace relations and recruitment
