About the Role:
The PSP Coordinator leads MacKillop's Foster and Kinship Care services to children and young people in the Permanency Support Program (PSP), their families, and foster & kinship carers.
Primary Objectives:
- Developing effective relationships with key external stakeholders to comply with child protection frameworks.
- Establishing collaborative relationships with specialist and mainstream services to improve outcomes for children, young people, and their families.
- Ensuring the Sanctuary Model is embedded in systems and practice, reflecting values of respect and dignity.
Key Selection Criteria:
- A knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture and values, awareness of current issues faced by Aboriginal children, young people, and their families.
- Tertiary qualification in social work, community services, management, or a relevant field.
- Demonstrated understanding of child protection and statutory child protection frameworks.
- Proven leadership skills and ability to supervise staff effectively.
- Demonstrated skills and experience in program management, service development, review, and foster care programs.
