Domestic Violence Lawyer Role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced lawyer to join our team of dedicated professionals in providing high-quality legal services to women affected by domestic violence.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in family law, with a minimum of 3 years post-admission experience as a lawyer. They will also possess exceptional interpersonal skills, an unrestricted practicing certificate, and the ability to work effectively in a trauma-informed practice framework.

The role involves providing legal advice, casework, representation, and referrals to clients in domestic violence, child protection, and family law matters through various means, including face-to-face appointments, telephone advice, and outreach locations.

The successful candidate will represent clients in the Family Law Court, Magistrates Court, and Children's Court, as well as provide services to women through a trauma-informed practice framework. They will prioritize eligibility for the services of the domestic violence unit by reference to various policies and perform Duty Lawyer Services in the Caboolture Magistrates Court.
