Job Role

Seeking an experienced professional to lead initiatives and programmes supporting student inclusion and equality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver targeted programmes to enhance student experience, including coordination of student participation in equality initiatives.
  • Act as primary point of contact for students participating in equality programmes, coordinating work opportunities and supporting delivery of events.
  • Project manage specific programmes of work, providing support and ensuring successful outcomes.
  • Contribute to the wider work of the student inclusion team through campaign activity, communications and event planning.
  • Work primarily from campus with some home working, occasional weekend work may be required for student recruitment events.
Requirements
  • First degree level or equivalent professional experience.
  • Strong passion for improving student experience and outcomes for underrepresented groups, knowledge of widening participation and equality, diversity and inclusion principles.
  • Experience of project management, stakeholder engagement and ability to create new projects meeting objectives.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills, confident presenting to various audiences.
  • Proficient IT skills and online portals for student worker jobs.
Team Information

The Student Directorate aims to deliver a seamless, high-quality experience for all current and future students. The team provides services such as information centre, library, learning services and specialist course support.

  • Location: Campus (with occasional home working).
  • Hours: 37 per week.
