Job Description">

The Category Manager role is a critical position that plays a vital part in the procurement strategy for ICT categories.

The successful candidate will act as a business partner between Procurement and each business area related to the ICT categories, developing and managing strategic category management across ICT categories.

Key responsibilities include contributing to the development and management of annual and 5-year procurement strategic opportunities plan for ICT categories, optimising the supply base through leveraging solutions for ICT categories, and supporting education, awareness, and training obligations across the organisation in relation to Procurement and Category Management strategies.

Other key tasks involve leading cross-functional teams to deliver value-driven category initiatives, collaborating with stakeholders to identify and address risks and opportunities, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the organisation.

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively across senior stakeholders and vendor environments.
  • Extensive experience driving strategic outcomes and collaboration with peers and management.
  • Experience working, fostering, embedding and growing a continuous value delivery and procurement efficiency program.
  • Extensive experience in commercial or public sector environment with knowledge and experience in public sector procurement desirable.
  • Strong partnership skills with ability to collaborate and deliver results across ICT categories.
