About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Palliative Care Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in both hospital and non-hospital settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Treat patients and their families with respect and compassion, and maintain positive working relationships with hospital staff and professional colleagues.
  • Work closely with primary care organisations and general practitioners to provide comprehensive management plans for patients requiring specialist palliative care.
  • Provide expert advice on pain management and symptom control to healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans that meet the needs of patients and their families.

Requirements

  • Registered medical practitioner with a specialization in palliative care.
  • Proven experience in delivering high-quality patient care in palliative care settings.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
  • Knowledge of National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards.
