Palliative Care Specialist Opportunity

As a key member of the palliative care team at Queensland Health, you will play a vital role in ensuring seamless transitions between hospital and community settings for patients requiring end-of-life care. Your expertise will facilitate effective collaboration with primary care and community-based specialist providers to ensure timely transfers.

You will participate in quality initiatives such as patient safety, clinical audit, research, and service planning for the Department of Internal Medicine and the Metro North Palliative Care Network.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise effectively between hospital and community settings for palliative care delivery
  • Supervise and train palliative medicine trainees and junior staff
  • Participate in quality activities, including patient safety, clinical audit, research, and service planning
