Palliative Care Professional Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Palliative Care Clinical Nurse Consultant to join our team. This permanent part-time position, working 3 days per week, offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on patients' lives.

About the Role

  • Provide expert clinical coordination and care to patients referred for palliative and end-of-life care
  • Develop and deliver education programs for clinicians providing palliative and end-of-life care services
  • Support the implementation of policies associated with palliative care, including palliation, end-of-life care, and advance care planning initiatives
  • Contribute to increasing the appropriateness and effectiveness of palliative care services for ATSI communities through evidence-based practice
  • Lead and participate in continuous improvement activities and models of care for enhanced service provision
  • Liaise with multidisciplinary teams to ensure strong communication networks are maintained

About You

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (no restrictions)
  • Postgraduate qualification in Palliative Care or related field
  • Extensive experience in palliative care nursing, with advanced clinical competency and expertise
  • Strong leadership ability and experience, as well as excellent time management skills
  • A strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to role model and promote values of compassion, respect, integrity, and excellence
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and within a diverse and complex professional workforce
