Senior Product Innovation Manager

About the Opportunity:

A leading food manufacturing company seeks an experienced Senior Food Technologist to lead product innovation and development across multiple categories.

  • Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from raw material sourcing to product launches
  • Provide expertise on product and process to address troubleshooting and stakeholder inquiries
  • Manage testing design and execution for new products
  • Lead team members, provide support, and facilitate knowledge sharing
  • Coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and key stakeholders
  • Identify opportunities for product improvement, cost reduction, and operational enhancements
Requirements:
  • At least 6 years' experience in R&D/NPD roles, with 2+ years in a Senior Product Development position in the food manufacturing or FMCG industries
  • Bachelor of Science in Food Science/Food Technology or equivalent qualifications
  • Desirable: experience in product categories such as sauces, mayonnaise, condiments, dry powders, and liquid blending
  • Proven track record of leading product development projects
  • In-depth knowledge of FSANZ, HACCP, GMP, and SQF regulations
  • Strong leadership skills, focusing on mentoring and clear direction for junior staff
