Product Development Leadership Role
We seek an experienced Senior Food Technologist to lead the development and innovation of new products across multiple categories. This role involves overseeing the product development lifecycle, including raw material sourcing, hands-on development, trials, and product launches.
- Oversight of product development from concept to launch, ensuring quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
- Expertise in product and process troubleshooting, stakeholder engagement, and effective communication with cross-functional teams.
- Design and execution of testing for new products, identifying opportunities for improvement and cost reduction.
- Leadership and training of junior team members, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
- Effective coordination and communication with suppliers, stakeholders, and key partners.
To succeed in this role, you will require:
- A minimum 6 years of experience as a Food Technologist in R&D/NPD roles, with at least 2 years in a senior product development position within food manufacturing or FMCG environments.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Food Science/Food Technology, or equivalent qualifications.
- Experience in product categories such as sauces, mayonnaise, condiments, dry powders, and liquid blending is desirable.
- Demonstrated track record of successful product launches and driving innovation in the food manufacturing industry.
- Strong project management skills and leadership capability.
- In-depth knowledge of FSANZ, HACCP, GMP, and SQF programs and regulations.
