Research Scientist

RMIT University is seeking a highly skilled Research Fellow to join our School of Science, with a focus on advancing knowledge in the field of lipid nanoparticles and cell-nanoparticle interactions.
Key Responsibilities- Undertake research activities aligned with the University's research strategy, focusing on the development of novel lipid nanoparticle formulations and their physicochemical characterization using techniques such as AFM, DLS, and cryo-TEM.
- Conduct experiments involving mammalian cell culture and study cell-nanoparticle interactions using various methods, including confocal imaging, flow cytometry, and TEM.
- Participate in collaborative research projects, engaging with colleagues to achieve high-quality outcomes and contribute to the School's research excellence.
- Develop and maintain expertise in relevant areas, staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in the field.
- PhD or equivalent qualification in a relevant field, with a strong track record of research experience and publications.
- Demonstrated expertise in lipid nanoparticle formulation and physicochemical characterization, as well as cell culture and cell-nanoparticle interaction studies.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically.
