Lead Trend Designer

As a lead trend designer, you will have the opportunity to drive innovation and create high-performance products tailored to specific client needs.

  • Drive trend analysis and product innovation by researching emerging trends in fabrications, construction techniques, technology, trims, and accessories.
  • Translate trend insights into commercially viable design concepts that align with brand positioning and customer needs.
  • Design and develop product lines that meet requirements, ensuring functionality, performance, and market relevance.
  • Conduct critical reviews of existing products and client ranges to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
  • Create detailed technical specifications to support accurate and efficient product development.
  • Collaborate with teams to conduct fitting appraisals, ensuring optimal fit and quality across product ranges.
  • Manage and monitor adherence to critical path timelines, striving for continuous improvement in speed-to-market.
  • Communicate design and development progress clearly across teams, identifying and resolving roadblocks with a solutions-focused mindset.
  • Ensure product compliance through rigorous wearer trials, quality testing, and risk assessments.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 3-5 years experience in a similar position
  • Experience in technical apparel, menswear, and industrial workwear or similar would be highly regarded
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage own time and priorities to achieve goals
  • Strong communication skills both verbally and in writing at all levels
  • Strong eye for detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
