About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Technical Field Service Coordinator with a mechanical background to join our busy Metro Field Service Team on a full-time permanent basis.

Your typical day in this role will include:

  • Providing sound technical advice and support to customers, technicians, and coordinators across the Melbourne Metro region
  • Assisting with service job triage and prioritization for our field technicians
  • Supporting the setup and management of major works, including organizing parts lists, tooling, and equipment, and managing external contractors when necessary
  • Liaising with technicians and coordinators to assist with planning, execution, and follow-up of service and repair works
  • Working closely with supervisors to ensure optimal work planning
  • Day-to-day invoicing and work-in-progress responsibilities

About You

You are a qualified diesel mechanic with CAT Dealer experience, a self-starter who is willing to go the extra mile, and a great collaborator and listener. Ideally, you have the following skills, experience, and attributes:

  • Qualified Diesel Mechanic with CAT Dealer Experience
  • Co-ordination or planning experience (preferred but not essential)
  • Excellent verbal communication and rapport-building skills
  • An empathetic approach with a calm disposition
  • Proven conflict resolution abilities under pressure
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities
  • Experience working with various computer systems – financial and operational
  • Strong multi-tasking and time management skills
