Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Engineer to contribute to the success of our organisation.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the development of infrastructure in Western Australia.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Scope, prepare short-term look-ahead programs, and provide input into the project schedule, status of works, and reporting requirements.
  • Monitor and report on project progress and maintain our contractual schedule/program.
  • Monitor and review project task financial outcomes, including overseeing project monthly forecasting and short-term cost controls to ensure project targets are optimised.
  • Provide daily support, team supervision, and feedback to field operations to produce high-quality project outcomes against company-set performance criteria.
  • Supervise the daily contract administration requirements and collaborate in the negotiation and control of subcontractor and supply agreements.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a similar role within the civil construction industry.
  • Able to demonstrate daily productivity and cost control skills and prior forecasting experience.
  • Demonstrated experience managing subcontractors and suppliers for site works.
  • Attends to the scope of work assigned with defined work methods and delivers the work in accordance with total project schedule.
  • Prepares short-term (4-weekly or as otherwise directed) look-ahead programs, and provides input into the project schedule, status of works, and reporting requirements.
  • Experience in coordinating and/or running tool box meetings, pre-start meetings, site inductions, and a demonstrated commitment to HSEQ practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills which enable you to assist in the resolution of client and key stakeholders' concerns.
  • Experience of guiding and leading other engineers.
  • Civil Engineering or Construction Management degree.
