Operations Manager - Project Delivery

The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing project operations and ensuring the safe, efficient, and effective delivery of project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with all safety requirements and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Site Supervision: Supervise operational areas to deliver the haulage and site services strategy.
  • Equipment Management: Maximize equipment utilisation while ensuring safe operation and effective maintenance.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 4 years' experience in project supervisory roles within mining haulage and earthmoving operations.
  • Prior supervisory experience in mining services contractor space is highly desirable.
  • Holding a Section 26 qualification is preferred.
  • Completion of BSBWHS411 - Implement and monitor WHS policies, procedures, and programs and BSBWHS414 - Contribute to WHS risk management.
  • Ability to apply and administer Fatigue Management Strategies.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project/organisational systems.
  • A good understanding of cost control and reporting.
  • Able to apply critical thinking and resolve complex matters.
  • High level of accountability and responsibility, strong work ethic and great work attitude.
  • Well-developed time management and project delivery skills in fast-paced environments.
  • A proactive leader who champions change and inspires others to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Excellent communication skills, engaging effectively with all levels of the workforce and external stakeholders.
  • A collaborative and consultative team approach.
