As a key member of our operational team, the Operations Coordinator (Projects) will play a vital role in facilitating the achievement of program goals and contributing to the periodic review of operational procedures and processes.
">Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will be responsible for supporting management and contributing to the operational management team with delivery of assigned operational outcomes and targets. This will involve supervising staff, setting work priorities, and allocating resources to support delivery of required outputs in realistic timeframes.
Additionally, the Operations Coordinator (Projects) will be required to train staff in standard operating procedures and policies, ensure procedures are followed and up-to-date, and allocate project assignments to staff. They will also be responsible for tracking progress, writing progress reports, and troubleshooting issues that arise.
The Operations Coordinator (Projects) will provide high-level advice on operational implications of policy and legislative changes and suggest possible improvements. They will also support management with managing operational costs in a strategic and sustainable way, providing recommendations for consideration, especially suggestions directed at improving business outcomes.
Liaising and coordinating within and across work units, representing the operational area, and informing the work of other staff are essential responsibilities of this role. Under limited direction in relation to priorities and work practices, the Operations Coordinator (Projects) will provide oversight/management to a discrete organisational unit and provide administrative support to the operational program.
Preparation of documentation and reports to brief management, ensuring information provided is high quality and can be used by management to inform complex correspondence and decision-making, is also an important aspect of this role.
">Required Skills and QualificationsThis role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment. The successful candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
They will also possess strong leadership skills, with the ability to supervise and manage staff effectively. Additionally, they will have excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
