
Leading Rehabilitation Care Specialist

As a Nurse Unit Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading a dedicated team of healthcare professionals at a rehabilitation centre. Your leadership will have a direct impact on patients' recovery journeys and their return to independence.
The role requires strategic and operational leadership of the nursing team, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, and person-centred rehabilitation care. The focus is on achieving optimal patient outcomes through evidence-based practice, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and effectively managing resources, staff development, and interdisciplinary collaboration to support patients in regaining independence and transitioning safely back to the community.
- Essential qualifications include a Registered Nurse-Division 1 with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (APHRA) and relevant management tertiary qualification or equivalent work experience, along with demonstrated commitment to professional development.
- Proven ability to lead, support, and develop a clinical team within a multidisciplinary environment, promoting a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and digital skills are required, with proficiency in clinical systems, rostering, and documentation to support effective team coordination and patient care.
- Demonstrated experience in implementing change and quality improvement initiatives, with a sound understanding of clinical governance and service development in a rehabilitation setting.
