**Job Title:** Community Rehabilitation Specialist

The role of the Community Rehabilitation Specialist is pivotal in ensuring services at the rehabilitation centre are consumer-centric and driven.

They work closely with residents, staff, and the community to support clinical and psychosocial goals, facilitate transitions back to accommodation, and promote recovery.

This position empowers consumers and service providers to achieve positive outcomes for individuals through lived experience.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Serve as a positive role model to coach and guide residents in self-management behaviours.
  • Inspire appropriate attitudes towards consumers.
  • Liaise and collaborate with mental health and other service providers to facilitate rehabilitation and recovery opportunities through integrated care planning.

**Requirements:**

  • Lived experience of mental illness and successful recovery.
  • Demonstrated experience and skills in supporting mental health consumers through shared lived experience.
  • High standard of written and verbal communication skills.
