Recreation Program Manager

About the Role:

  • We are seeking a highly skilled Recreation Program Manager to develop and implement a recreation program that caters to the diverse needs of our residents.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising and supporting members of the recreation team in the development of programs, ensuring they meet the individual leisure needs of each resident.
  • This role requires strong communication skills to encourage clients to maintain their community associations and contacts.
  • The incumbent will be required to ensure accurate and relevant documentation is up to date.
  • Promoting recreational opportunities available within the broader community is an essential part of this role.

We are a specialised not-for-profit welfare organisation committed to providing high-quality care, housing and services to older people at risk or who have experienced homelessness.

We employ over 1,000 staff across Victoria and Tasmania, working towards our vision of ending homelessness for older people.

About this Role:

This is a Full Time Fixed Term position with a 6 month contract. The successful candidate will work on weekday shifts at our Hobart Aged Care Facility.

Your Responsibilities and Duties Include:

  • To coordinate and continually develop a recreation program designed to meet the individual leisure needs of each client while maximising their recreational independence.
  • To supervise and support other members of the recreation team regarding structure and development of programs.
  • To encourage clients to maintain their community associations and contacts.
  • To ensure that accurate and relevant documentation is up to date.
  • To promote recreational opportunities available within the broader community.

What We Offer:
