The Team Lead plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our programs for individuals with diverse support needs.
This entails effectively managing the direct care team to provide high-quality client services, promoting a home-like environment that fosters dignity and respect for clients' rights.
A successful candidate will be responsible for supervising team members, coordinating their activities, and undertaking direct care tasks while maintaining staff skills and knowledge.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating physical, social, and emotional support for clients
- Creating an inclusive environment that respects clients' autonomy
- Supervising team members and streamlining their activities
- Delivering direct care, personal care tasks, and training activities
- Fostering clients' participation in recreation and leisure activities
- Encouraging social interaction and community involvement
To achieve these goals, the Team Lead will collaborate closely with service coordinators, families, and advocates to develop and implement personalized programs that maximize client independence and well-being.
Responsibilities- Client Care:
- Ensure team members provide encouragement, training, assistance, and support for clients' personal care needs
- Facilitate clients' participation in domestic duties as required
- Undertake direct care, personal care tasks, and training activities while upholding clients' dignity and abilities
- Organize recreational activities and promote social interaction
- Organisational:
- Support staff in planning meals, budgets, and daily decisions
- Optimize time management and workload to prioritize productivity and client care
- Maintain accurate records and encourage client participation in service planning
- Safety:
- Maintain a safe environment for clients
- Regularly assess program effectiveness and report incidents according to policies
- Communication:
- Monitor clients' physical well-being and refer to healthcare professionals when necessary
- Communicate with clients using recommended procedures while respecting client choice and decision-making
