Renewable Energy Stakeholder Engagement Specialist

Shape the Future of Energy - As an Industry Engagement Specialist at AusNet Services Ltd, you will play a pivotal role in steering Australia's energy transition by engaging with key stakeholders involved in large-scale renewable energy initiatives.

Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective stakeholder engagement strategies for transmission infrastructure projects during their construction and delivery phases.
- Utilize your local and regional expertise to guide engagement efforts and foster strong relationships with communities and industries.
- Support engagement activities during pre-construction and construction phases, focusing on high-priority stakeholders.
- Advise on and create plans for engaging local communities, businesses, and suppliers effectively.
- Manage relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders, including local communities and regional industries.
- Collaborate with construction and strategy teams to enhance local supply chain engagement.
- Monitor and assess the effectiveness of community and stakeholder engagement initiatives.
- Oversee external advisors, consultants, and contractors to ensure deliverables meet project requirements.
We are looking for candidates with:
- Relevant experience in Community and Stakeholder Engagement, Regional Development, Utilities, or similar fields.
- Demonstrated expertise in stakeholder management and frontline engagement.
- Experience in project delivery with a focus on external stakeholder interaction.
- Strong listening, rapport-building, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written communication skills for creating reports and presentations.
- Outstanding time management, project management, and planning capabilities.
- Understanding of statutory planning, environmental regulations, and compliance processes.
- Certification in IAP2 or experience in local/regional economic development and engagement is advantageous.
