Renewable Energy Stakeholder Engagement Specialist

Shape the future of Australia's energy landscape by engaging with key stakeholders on transformative renewable energy initiatives. This position is pivotal in driving community and industry collaboration throughout the construction and delivery phases of transmission infrastructure projects.
Your ImpactAs an Industry Engagement Specialist, you will:
- Leverage your expertise to devise and implement effective engagement strategies tailored to local and regional contexts.
- Facilitate pre-construction and construction phase interactions with priority stakeholders.
- Advise on and develop comprehensive plans for engaging local communities, businesses, and suppliers.
- Foster relationships across a diverse stakeholder spectrum, including community groups and regional industries.
- Collaborate with construction and strategic teams to enhance local supply chain engagement.
- Monitor and assess the effectiveness of community and stakeholder engagement initiatives.
- Oversee external consultants and contractors to ensure alignment with project objectives.
We seek candidates with a blend of the following qualifications:
- Relevant experience in Community and Stakeholder Engagement, Regional Development, Utilities, or similar fields.
- Demonstrated proficiency in stakeholder management and frontline engagement.
- Experience in project execution with regular interactions with external stakeholders.
- Exceptional listening, relationship-building, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Strong written communication skills for producing reports and presentations.
- Excellent time management, project coordination, and planning abilities.
- Understanding of statutory planning, environmental regulations, and compliance processes.
- Certification in IAP2 or experience in local/regional economic development and engagement is advantageous.
