Stakeholder Engagement Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Stakeholder Engagement Advisor to join our team at AusNet Services. As a key member of our Western Renewables Link project team, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing engagement plans and strategies to ensure the successful delivery of our projects.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to the development and implementation of stakeholder engagement plans and programs to encourage and maximise community participation.
- Support the development of responses to key stakeholder correspondence and enquiries (non-media).
- Build and maintain effective relationships with a broad range of stakeholders, including the general and local community, regional industry, business communities and local, state and federal government agencies.
- Prepare and undertake stakeholder mapping and analysis.
- Work closely with the communications and correspondence team to support the development of effective and relevant stakeholder messages and responses.
- Plan, organise, co-ordinate and attend community meetings, information sessions, technical forums and regular engagement with other stakeholders.
- Prepare factual, concise and community-focused communication materials.
- Identify and manage stakeholder and community engagement issues and risks, monitoring these and actively addressing ongoing matters.
- Qualification in community and stakeholder engagement, communications or other relevant degree.
- Experience in undertaking stakeholder or community engagement activities, preferably working in areas such as local government, energy or large infrastructure projects.
- Supported the development and implementation of communication and engagement plans.
- Project or programme delivery experience, with active and regular engagement and liaison activities undertaken with external stakeholders.
- Exceptional listening skills and ability to quickly and effectively build rapport, demonstrating respect, empathy, thoughtfulness in all engagements.
- IAP2 certificate, or similar experience will be an advantage in this role.
