Job OverviewAs a Solar Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the design, development, and implementation of our solar energy projects. You will work closely with our engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities- Design and Engineering: Develop and review detailed engineering designs for solar PV systems, including system layouts, electrical schematics, and equipment specifications.
- Site Assessments and Feasibility Studies: Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to determine project viability.
- Project Integration: Collaborate with project managers, civil engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate solar systems into broader project plans.
- Compliance and Quality: Ensure compliance with all relevant Australian standards, codes, and regulations.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support during the construction, commissioning, and operation phases of projects.
- Yield Assessments and Optimization: Perform yield assessments, energy performance modeling, and system optimization to maximize efficiency and output.
- Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to solar PV systems.
- Process Improvement: Participate in the continuous improvement of design processes and tools.
- Technical Reporting: Contribute to the preparation of technical reports, documentation, and project proposals.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the design and engineering of solar PV systems.
- Skills: Proficiency in using engineering software such as AutoCAD, PVSyst, and other relevant tools. Strong understanding of electrical systems, grid connection requirements, and renewable energy standards in Australia.
- Project Management: Experience with solar farm projects, including large-scale utility projects. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Teamwork and Communication: Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate technical information clearly. Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
