Position Summary:

In the role of Solar Engineer, you will be instrumental in the design, development, and execution of our solar energy initiatives. Collaborating closely with our engineering, procurement, and construction teams, you will ensure that all projects are completed on schedule, within financial constraints, and adhere to the highest quality standards. This position offers a unique opportunity to play a significant part in the shift towards a sustainable energy landscape.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Generate and evaluate comprehensive engineering designs for solar photovoltaic systems, encompassing system layouts, electrical diagrams, and equipment specifications.
  • Conduct thorough site evaluations and feasibility analyses to assess project potential.
  • Work in conjunction with project managers, civil engineers, and other stakeholders to seamlessly integrate solar systems into larger project frameworks.
  • Guarantee adherence to all pertinent Australian standards, codes, and regulations.
  • Offer technical assistance throughout the construction, commissioning, and operational phases of projects.
  • Execute yield assessments, energy performance modeling, and system optimization to enhance efficiency and output.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical challenges associated with solar photovoltaic systems.
  • Engage in the ongoing enhancement of design methodologies and tools.
  • Assist in the creation of technical reports, documentation, and project proposals.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the design and engineering of solar photovoltaic systems.
  • Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, PVSyst, and other relevant applications.
  • Strong grasp of electrical systems, grid connection prerequisites, and renewable energy regulations in Australia.
  • Experience with solar farm projects, particularly large-scale utility initiatives.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Capability to work collaboratively in a team and convey technical information effectively.
  • Strong project management skills with the capacity to oversee multiple projects concurrently.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as necessary.
