About the Role

Be a key player in shaping the future of Australia's energy landscape. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead and execute stakeholder engagement strategies for major transmission infrastructure initiatives during their construction and delivery phases.

Your Impact: This role is essential in driving effective communication and collaboration with key stakeholders, contributing significantly to the transition towards a cleaner energy future in Australia.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize your expertise and local knowledge to develop and implement engagement strategies.
  • Facilitate engagement with high-priority stakeholders during pre-construction and construction phases.
  • Advise on and create plans for engaging local communities, businesses, and suppliers.
  • Build and maintain relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, including local communities and regional industries.
  • Collaborate with construction and strategy teams to enhance local supply chain engagement.
  • Monitor and assess community and stakeholder engagement activities.
  • Oversee external advisors, consultants, and contractors to ensure alignment with project goals.
Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with a blend of the following:

  • Relevant experience in Community and Stakeholder Engagement, Regional Development, Utilities, or similar fields.
  • Demonstrated experience in stakeholder management and direct engagement.
  • Experience in project delivery with regular interaction with external stakeholders.
  • Strong listening, relationship-building, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written communication skills for reports and presentations.
  • Outstanding time management, project management, and organizational skills.
  • Understanding of statutory planning, environmental considerations, and compliance processes.
  • Certification in IAP2 or experience in local/regional economic development and engagement is a plus.
