Custodial Mental Health Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Mental Health Professional to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in improving the mental health and wellbeing of adults in custody.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting independent risk assessments to identify individualized support needs.
- Providing psychoeducation and delivering interventions to promote positive behavioral change.
- Maintaining knowledge of psychopathology to inform evidence-based practice.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Experience in psychological assessment and intervention for adults with mental health conditions, cognitive impairments or developmental disorders.
- Strong communication skills for engaging diverse client groups and stakeholders.
- Able to apply research-based practices to offender rehabilitation.
- General or provisional registration as a Psychologist with AHPRA or eligibility to obtain registration upon commencement.
- Bachelor's degree (4-year minimum) in Psychology or Behavioural Science.
- Compliance with National Psychology Board and AHPRA registration standards.
- Professional Indemnity Insurance if engaged in secondary employment.
