Job Overview

The perinatal mental health specialist will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver innovative care across North Queensland.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide consultation-liaison services for women at risk of perinatal mental health issues within the hospital and health service.
  • Work in partnership with healthcare teams to develop pathways to care for vulnerable women.
About the Role

As a coordinator, you will play a critical role in providing comprehensive patient care by coordinating services, developing treatment plans, and collaborating with healthcare teams.

Requirements:
  • Nursing: A bachelor's degree in nursing or equivalent certification is mandatory.
  • Psychology, Occupational Therapy, and Social Work: An appropriate tertiary degree qualification from an accredited institution is required.
  • Further qualifications/training in perinatal and infant mental health are highly desirable.

This role requires the incumbent to operate a class C motor vehicle and possess an appropriate license endorsement.

Benefits:
  • Salary range: $64.64 to $72.58 per hour (HP4, Nurse Grade 7)
  • Four to six weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
  • 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
