As a clinician, you will play a key role in improving the well-being and rehabilitation of adults in custody. No two days will ever be the same; you will be busy, manage a challenging caseload, gain experiential on-the-job learning like no other role, all while providing quality clinical services that include assessments and tailored interventions to support mental health and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct independent risk assessments of harm to self or others, including acute or chronic risk.
- Provide psychoeducation related to mental health conditions, symptoms, and treatment options to individuals.
- Deliver individual or group-based brief, skill acquisition-focused interventions aimed at developing coping skills and building resilience.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
- Experience in psychological assessment and intervention for adults with mental health conditions, cognitive impairments, or developmental disorders.
- Knowledge of risk assessment tools and rehabilitation strategies in correctional settings.
- Strong communication skills for engaging diverse client groups and stakeholders.
