We are seeking an experienced Assistant Accountant to join our Finance team at Keegan Adams. Our client is a global Financial Services company with an impressive reputation built from their long track record of success in industry, combined with their incredible company culture.



Key Responsibilities


  • Support the Payroll Manager in ensuring all payroll transactions are processed efficiently across multiple states (NSW, VIC, QLD, WA, ACT).
  • Maintain employee ledgers and collect, calculate, and enter data to update payroll information.
  • Develop ad-hoc financial and operational reporting as needed.
  • Perform employee termination calculations and manage employee leave, ensuring accuracy of leave accruals.
  • Respond to employee queries in a professional and timely manner.
  • Assist with general ledger accounting, Fringe Benefit Tax, and BAS preparation and lodgement.
  • Prepare reports, statements, and analysis, and deliver timely and accurate monthly closing and reports.


Requirements


  • Tertiary qualifications in Accounting.
  • Previous experience (3+ years ideally) as an Assistant Accountant with exposure to payroll, superannuation, and general accounting tasks.
  • Working knowledge of superannuation legislation, payroll tax, and leave entitlements.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills, with the ability to work within tight time frames.
  • Discretion and experience handling company, employee, and client information.
